A company in Santa Clarita is looking for HR Specialist to help the team in Valencia, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing various aspects of human resources, including employee relations, onboarding, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in HR administration and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee employee onboarding processes, including orientation and integration into company systems.
- Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to ensure accurate employee records.
- Handle payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Administer leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive employee information.
- Collaborate with management to implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Provide support and guidance on HR-related matters to employees and managers.
- Generate reports and analyze HR data to identify trends and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources administration.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and ADP payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and employee relations.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and FMLA/LOA, Etc. requirements.
- Experience managing leave of absence requests and ensuring compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
